About this video
Believe it or not, the Shetland Grand National is a breeding ground for some top jockeys of the future! It's a serious sport with owners and trainers searching for the right talent to ride for them. It's also one of Olympia's highlights and great fun! We talk to Emma Leivers, the organiser (who herself started as a jockey), and meet the kids and the ponies. We see the race with all its razzmatazz and Fiona Price talks to eventual winner, 10 year old Christy Short (6 stone) who rode Knix Grand Bobby Jo, born the same day that the full size version (Bobby Jo) won the Grand National! She has had special permission to wear his colours!
