About this video

Most riders probably can spot a good livery yard when they see one! But given we are handing over the care and well-being of our beloved horses to strangers, what are the signs to look for? Horse Hero visits Poplars Farm Stables in Gloucestershire for a tour of the yard and Fiona Price asks Stuart Adamson what he feels are the key ingredients for making happy horses and owners. From clean beds to daily turnout, lorry parking, feeding, training, rugging and advice, you'll be able to create a check list for the next time you move. This BHS approved yard is particularly lovely but remember, you and your horse deserve the best!

eventlover 30 Aug 2009 What a fantastic Yard. Stuart Adamson`s personable and common sense approach makes it very special. His clients are very lucky. This should be the yard-stick by which all Livery Yards are measured!
tuggie123 12 Jun 2009 Wow a wash room!? We are not even allowed to wash our hands at our yard!
Diana 11 May 2009 Thank you for this video, they have such a nice philosophy, it would feel like keeping your horse at home without the hastle that often comes with livery yards.
xXxAlicexXx 11 May 2009 £5 a month for parking your box! its £5 a week at ours! Whoever keeps their horses there are very spoilt!
xxEllenxx 11 May 2009 Wow! What a lovely yard. I would also love to own my own yard one day....
