May fever
Hi Focus
Late April/May is the time of year when grass is at its most lush and it always takes us by surprise so that we fail to adjust the rest of our horse’s diet accordingly.

bad manners - again!
What you are doing with this sort of groundwork is to show to your horse that you can control his legs – all of them!

Hand-reared foal now 2yo monster
Hi Sefton
Your 2 year old can make a safe child’s pony so long as he learns first that he is a pony, not a human, and secondly that he cannot use his strength and size to do whatever he likes.

Nudging horse
Despite sharing a field with him for years, I have never taken time to be with Barbie Boy any more than necessary to fullfill my part of the shared care of the horses however since contacting you and realising how fed up I was at his behaviour I have been making the time to work with him for a few minutes each day.

Hi Lisa
I am glad to hear that Leo is progressing well, but it does sound as though lack of work during the cold weather means that he is giving you problems again.

Time of the month!
I have a section A mare that was a real nightmare nymphomaniac aged 4 to 7yrs: to the point of jumping into fields to get near male horses, even geldings, squatting & spraying, high tail, sore back & sides.
