I rode out on the racehorses in the morning and survived some huge bucks and worn rubberless reins! I then did gridwork with Kiwi, teaching him to snap up better in front and make a better shape with short stridings between wide parallels. In the afternoon I took Bug show jumping near Lingfield, bit of a treck but not much choice when in search of classes over 1.20. I took a wrong turning and only just made the Foxhunters with a little pleading, I threw his tack on, hopped over a couple of jumps and upset the show jumpers by going double clear with the fastest jump-off to win the class! We then flew round the 1.30 with another double clear with an even better attacking jump-off to win again thrashing the unimpressed show jumpers!! I was over the moon that we jumped so well, I even managed not to take a pull before any jumps! A good preparation for Cardiff! The buzz helped keep me awake driving back quite late.
