  • I am proud of my expert '12-plates-on-one-arm' skills!

Tiger back in auction mode... 12 hours of sleeping!I worked at the antiques auction on Monday and Tuesday and didn't manage to come away with much pay after bidding for two rings... pretty cheap as they are paste, not rubies and sapphires, but they look just as nice! I schooled George for friends on the local farm on Wednesday, he feels terrific after much physio' and a new saddle, however his owner would like to stick to dressage so he will be for sale. A shame, but it does mean they would like me to take him Intro and PN to help sell him and I have always fancied competing him!

I taught two delightful ponies cross country on Friday, however Freya's pony is quite strong and she seemed to enjoy doing huge loops of the field after each jump, making me have to shout so loudly that my already croaky voice disappeared completely by the end! I had cantered Whisky in the morning and he seems a bit fat from the lush grass and a bit puffy with the warm weather so I am planning endless hillwork before Longleat!

On Saturday I woke up with no voice whatsoever and whispered most of the day. This meant walking the whole way across the yard everytime I needed to say something to Becky! I squeezed in schooling, hacking and jumping four horses as I was waitressing for a wedding from lunchtime onwards. By now I was emitting the odd squeak between whispers so the staff that didn't know me must have thought me very odd! A delicious selection of food was produced by the caterers as ever, so canapes risked being "one for you, one for me, one for you, one for me..." After polishing off supper leftovers and clearing many tables (very proud of my expert 12-plates-on-one-arm skills) I dragged myself away by midnight as I am eventing tomorrow!
