Everyone else has written about famous horses, but some of the greatest are only seen by their owners. My current horse hero was an 11.2 British spotted pony named Sunbeam. before I had her she was a circus pony in the Chipperdale circus. I bought her when I was 7 and over 4 years I rode and trained her. To begin with she did not jump well nad wouldn't ride by herself very well either. She never learnt to jump walls as they are trained not to in the circus. She was my first pony that I took to Pony Club camp and I did my first 3 endurance rides on her. She was 12 when she died of a heart attack but she still lives on in our memories.

My horse hero has to be a little pony I ride at the moment. He's called Rolo, and he's a 14.1 bay 7r old gelding. He's still very green. When I started riding him, he was realy babyish (he was 6), and he struggled with a lot of things, like cantering on circles, picking up correct lead etc. He can be very excitable, and has been known to throw a few big bucks in! Jumping he's really novicey at, often launching himself over the smallest fence, and he brings his back end up really high! hehe. I've grown a lot with him, and, although he is a challenge and I'm not the bravest rider, I think he's amazing. I love riding him and spending time with him, and already I've noticed a huge improvement in him, and he's starting to come out of his shell now, which is lovely. So, Rolo is my horse hero.

My non-famous hero is my pony, Norman. Norman is my 14.2 Norwegian Fjord gelding. We are really good at dressage. I've had him for 6 years now. I love him so much! He really tries his very best and works his heart out for me! We are busy practising half-pass, shoulder-in, travers and counter counter. He is really good for a Fjord.
