That's kind of you. The next couple weeks will be a welcomed wind down but not a complete break as the site is a living, breathing thing and requires constant attention much like horses! But when you do something you love, it isn't a chore!

Is it bad to admit that I will be escaping from the family periodically over the festive season to re-watch my favorite HH videos?!

"Is it bad to admit that I will be escaping from the family periodically over the festive season to re-watch my favorite HH videos?! "
Well, let's weigh up the options.. cheerful family game of festive scrabble that swiftly becomes violent bordering on murderous as ancient grievances are resurrected after accusations of cheating on a triple word score, mince pies are used as missiles and someone gets flicked in the eye with a tinsel lassoo... voices are raised, furniture gets broken, society as we know it collapses, there are road blocks and riot police, total chaos reigns.. I know where I'll be, in the cupboard under the stairs with a bottle of cava, a bag of twiglets and 'grid jumping to improve the canter' on the laptop. so, no, it's not bad... it's the only sane course to take! Cheers everyone!

The old, "excuse me for a moment, I have to check my work email"....wonderful when the in-laws are here. They will think I'm very industrious this year thanks to HH.

I am worse than that - I make my guests watch Horse Hero videos too! Last Christmas we must have watched Lorenzo about a dozen times, and then there were a few yard tours....
I hope that everyone has a wonderful Christmas and that 2010 brings happy horses and happy owners with lots of first places for everyone who competes and amazing improvements in condition and schooling for those of you who do not.

Its just taken me 6 hours to get home from work and I haven't ridden for a week - have too finally subscribed so I watch all these lovely videos whilst its snowing outside.
Did any one see Jean-Francois Pignon at Olympia - he was amazing - Fiona did you get any of him for your website?

Sadly not, I heard he was amazing. We were not there this year. However, there's a great video of Lornenzo from last year's Olympia, that we made. It's in the Shows & Events category of the Library under Olympia. Enjoy!

To all who are involved in bringing us this wonderful web site. I mirror 'Zaartje's' comments.
May Horse Hero continue to grow and gain the recognition it deserves.
I can only imagine the hard work and dedication that it takes to bring us a site like this.

It's still snowing and I haven't ridden for 3 weeks now. Fiona, what about taking some average riders like most of us are and filming them having a dressage or SJ lesson with someone inspirational like Carl, Laura B or John Whittaker - I certainly would be your first volunteer. I have a 5 year old that leans to the right, falls out to the left, goes behind the leg, spooks at the smallest of changes if something is different from yesterday! - Saying that he's great fun and is improving all the time. I'll be thrilled if we can eventually compete at Elementary and learn a few tricks at home. Showing a lesson with how some normal riders can benefit from training with top trainers could be a different angle on the videos that you have posted so far.

Hi Gillyfish, this has been suggested. But in truth, it probably has wider appeal to use our celeb' riders and tap into their thought processes. There is something for everyone in their videos, whatever the level you ride at, with the added interest of seeing a top rider work at home. I have tried to fill the gap (a little) with the lessons I have had in a variety of disciplines. Your suggestion is noted. Sadly, we just can't do everything, even though we'd really like to!
