Biography

I am a professional dressage rider from the south of England. I am lucky enough to live and work at Longdean Stud which was started by my parents when I was only a baby. They have always had broodmares and have successfully bred a lot of dressage stars so it was natural for me to become interested in dressage from a very young age.

I moved from one naughty pony to another, struggling in vain to get them on the bit! My parents finally gave in and got my first dressage pony for me at the age of 12. With him I joined BYRDS which was brilliant because I could watch all the team riders and see how far I had to go! By the age of 15 I had become one of those riders and, since then, have never looked back!

I represented Great Britain every year from 2002 to March 2008. This included being a medal winning member of the Pony team in 2003, then best of the British at the Junior Europeans in 2005. I was also best of the British in the team at the Young Rider Europeans in 2007. I have won four international Young Rider classes, two in 2007 and two in 2008.

Since my international horse Paris died in April 2008, I’ve had to rethink my plans and priorities somewhat! I now have a collection of young horses that I’m training up and competing, which is what being a senior rider is all about. My best result in 2009 would have to be winning the southern Elementary Open Regional Final with my own Diamant (Santa).

In 2010, I entered the world of business and set up my own livery yard, which is an on-going project. In 2011 I plan to build up the livery business and continue to work on my own horses. Going forward I have high hopes competitively!
