About this video

Pretty much everything you ever wanted to know about saddle fitting is in this video! Burghley event rider and qualified saddle fitter Antonia Wills, discusses saddle fitting with Fiona Price. Using four different horses as models (a pony, an ex racer, a horse with a short back and the 'Mount Everest wither'), Antonia starts with an assessment of the back in order to identify the likely challenges for achieving a comfortable saddle fit for horse and rider. Using dressage and jumping saddles, we find out about the angle of the tree point, dropped panels, point and balance straps, where to use pads, the current trend in saddle colours and much more!

Amazone 27 Jan 2010 A very good video, really helpful. I just wish I could find someone like Antonia to fit a saddle for my horse.Antonia takes a lot care and she is proud of what she is doing.
scienna 22 Jan 2010 This was great, thankyou I would like to see more "how to" videos aswell. Maybe Antonia could provide an addition to this including: What dressage & jumping saddles are recommended for riders who has a long hip to knee? Best saddle fit for a young horse who will change as they grow and develope? What type of saddle pads used and for what reason? I would love to see more on the saddle fitting subject. Thankyou.
An American in Copenhagen 20 Jan 2010 Fantastic. That was a great video. Informational and entertaining. I've begun to miss the 'how to' vids that you used to have a lot of in the begining and this definitely scratched that itch!
hhhorse 16 Jan 2010 Once again I have learnt new things (despite being an avid reader of all things equine). Thank you so much for such an informative video. Will look at my mares saddle and how it fits with new eyes from now on!
christina 16 Jan 2010 Thanks you Antonia for sharing your knowledge on this. It makes so much more sense watching a video on saddle fitting rather than reading about it!
