Laura Bechtolsheimer on how devastated she was after her disastrous first dressage test: "I’m stunned, numb and deeply depressed. It feels like the end of my world". She tells us what happened (an explanation we haven't heard in the BBC commentary or anywhere else for that matter!) Things picked up in the Grand Prix Special, "Alf kept his cool and I was the full Laura so we had a fantastic ride."
Vittoria Panizzon on her cross country time faults, "I could have turned tighter if I hadn't been so busy patting and praising my darling pony after each jump." And on the show-jumping, "As we jumped the first, I just knew we had got the rhythm and everthing else right, leading to the most exhilirating clear we have ever had!" She finished best of the Italians and has some brilliant pics in her blog.
Jon Pitts tells about the tension as Tina Cook jumped towards an individual bronze and how her cucumber-cool husband lost it!
