About this video

Horse Hero's Fiona Price, an amateur eventer, began her quest to ride at FEI level dressage on the ex-Olympian Active Walero. However, the ride fell through and, unable to find a suitable replacement, Fiona changed her strategy and began a search for a quality youngster to train herself, and film the journey for Horse Hero! Having recently made some fabulous breeding videos with Lynne Crowden, Fiona returns to the Woodlander Stud and is treated to a 'beauty parade' of five well bred youngsters, who amply display their spirit and athleticism in the trot up! In Part 2 Fiona finds the courage to put her shortlist through their paces!

elaine elliott 10 Jan 2011 How brill ... as usual ... must admit I was looking fotward to seeing how your riding improved on the grand prix horse but this is yet another road! I am looking to buy my son a new horse and not sure which way to go, so this will be a very interesting watch .... Well done Fiona! and good luck ... behind ya all the way! Elaine.
Diana 6 Sep 2010 Love this. It is so good to hear honest advice from Lynne, the owner of the horses too. Useful things to take in.
miriamxk 17 Aug 2010 Fiona, what a brilliant idea for a video series! I bought Cuba's full sister from Woodlander last year, am so thrilled with her, still, every day. She is absolutely great and everything that Lynne and Dave said she would be. If I were to buy another horse I would definitely go back to Woodlander and if Lynne suggested that a particular horse would suit me I would trust her 100%. Cannot wait to see the videos of the horses and find out which one you went for.
Cluny 17 Aug 2010 How exciting, I am waiting with baited breath for the next installments. So fantastic to see such quality bred horses bred so carefully in the UK. If only all breeders were so careful and knowledgable as Lynne and her team.
Fiona Price 16 Aug 2010 Kas1, if you or anyone is seriously interested, you can contact Lynne for information and prices by clicking on this link. She'd be delighted to hear from you. In any event, I have asked her in her next blog to talk about what sort of prices you should expect to pay for quality dressage horses of different ages and experience, as without some inside information, it can be a lottery and unecessarily expensive, especially buying from abroad!
