About this video

Michele Morseth trains Grand Prix dressage rider Jackie Siu to improve Flora’s way of going. Using the Feldenkrais method, Michele demonstrates how when moving one part of Jackie's body it affects another, and ultimately the horse. "By focusing on the relationship between thought and movement, riding is easier and more effective" says Michele. She continues, "Only when you are completely conscious of how you sit and apply the aids, can you ensure you are not detrimental to your horse's movement, but enhance it!" Jackie fine tunes her co-ordination and balance and finds that Flora’s slight but niggling shoulder drift is improved!

kgb 3 Nov 2010 Thank you Michele & Jackie! Really helpful esp as I have too have old injuries & unconscious compensations. Nice to see how to be more aware & correct.
Babs2010 6 Aug 2010 There was no mention that her lower leg is too far forward. I am encouraged to know that even top riders do have problems understanding the trainer's instructions/terminology.
Survivor Girl 16 Jun 2010 This video will help me so much. I'm overcompensating for old broken bones and a double mastectomy and need to practice being more aware of the very small collapses I'm doing with each movement. Wonderful video...... I'm going to watch again after I practice this tomorrow.
jos 14 Jun 2010 Great lesson Michele- wonderful to finally see the work you talk so passionately about in action - hope you visit us again soon!
Bibbett 13 Jun 2010 Excellent, especially the little chat at the end, because the horse is our mirror, and kinestic awareness is key for all us riders! I agree with the comment above to put it into context for people the chair lesson would be benificial! I work with AT very similar, fabulous that you are including these like minded trainers, to broaden more riders minds! Thanks
