Man on Fire is a prolific working hunter winner for top show rider, Louise Bell. Still only a youngster, he notched up 26 wins last year in his first season, so she rightly expects great things from him, despite the fact his career nearly took a very different direction! He oozes star quality, even over his stable door, and has a lot to 'say for himself' in this interview, with Fiona Price (October '08). He also entertains us with his favourite trick!

LouLou'sMum 31 Aug 2009 Since she was a little child, Louise had the ability to turn naughty ponies into champions. Her very first pony spent most of his day in various gardens with Louise desperately trying to prise him away from the rose bushes...Her second pony was a tiny 'Thelwell' flying haggis who she could make jump 4 feet..Whatever pony she had whilst growing up it became a champion..even those who were no-hopers and had been given up on. Louise was born 'knowing horses' Her first words were sung...the theme tune to Black Beauty a TV series at that time. The first encounter I ever had with Louise was via ultra-sound...when her little heartbeat sounded like the track at Aintree on Grand National day...I am truly proud of our little daughter and all the horses that she shares with everyone.
