About this video
Harry Meade tells us about his complex top horse, Midnight Dazzler. Having been campaigned by William Fox-Pitt and others before Harry, Dazzler had a bad reputation. But with patience and allowing him to 'be a horse' rather than a 'caged animal', Harry won the day and Dazzler has lived up to his potential by completing Badminton and Burghley 7 times, back to back, always top 20 (best 8th). What an astonishing record for a horse that was 'written off'. This special relationship reveals some fascinating insights. Interviewed by Fiona Price.

Hannah=] 3 Jun 2009 Saw him At Badminton 09'. He was great! Loved watching Harry ride.
teddylover101 10 May 2009 I saw him at Badminton this weekend ('09). Dazzler is 19 and the oldest horse to compete there. Well done Harry!
missy8605 5 Mar 2009 Very down to earth and very sensible. And such a breath of fresh air for a modern day event rider to be thinking 'outside the box' and to allow routines to suit the individual horses. And if Midnight Dazzler is happier living out then why not, at the end of the day the bottom line is - he is a horse!
Alfie 8 Jan 2009 Harry comes accross as really caring about how MD has turned out - some horses can be so difficult and without finding their right partner can end up on the scrap heap. I think MD is a very lucky boy.
Earl 31 Oct 2008 Makes you want to see him ridden! Also my horse does the very same thing when he rolls!
