About this video

Top show producer Sam Quiney explains how to be seen in front of the judge, using two of her show riders as guinea pigs. "Riding in your own space is vital", says Sam who offers techniques for creating distance, if you find yourself too close to the horse in front. She also explains when the judge will be looking most closely, what they expect to see and offers tips on ring etiquette. Sam runs through the requirements for both a Hack and a Riding Horse in their individual show and explains the differences in the way they go. However, it's not over until the final walk-round, as last impressions count as much as first ones in showing!
