I am looking for some ideas to provide extra fibre in the fast approaching winter.

What do you feed your horses in winter to warm them up or just provide a little bit extra?

Sugar beet is the most economic, Speedy beet is non molassed and gets a good write up on the website
http://www.britishhorsefeeds.com/speedi-beet/typical-analysis
I have already started on winter feed, weather is awful and he is already rugged and stabled a lot more than I would like.
Quick Beet seems to be less nutritious, I have asked D and H for an explanation, as I would have thought they were the same thing: Quick soaking, unmolassed sugar beet
Ready to feed in 10 minutes
Low in sugar
High in fibre
For horses that have difficulty chewing hay or haylage, KwikBeet can be used as a partial forage replacer, providing slow releasing energy from digestible fibre
KwikBeet is suitable for horses and ponies at risk from laminitis
Feeding guidelines: Typical intake when fed with concentrates is 100g dry weight (subsequently soaked prior to feeding)/100kg bodyweight (e.g. 500kg horse = 1/2 Stubbs scoop (0.5kg) per day).

Analytical Constituents:

Crude Fibre 16.5%
Sugar 5.0%
Est. Digestible Energy 13.2 MJ/Kg

If you don't mind the extra sugar, the molassed nuts take 24 hours to soak but are cheaper.
