  • Amateur event rider and Horse Hero Managing Director, Fiona Price, has a dressage lesson on Hannah Biggs' Prix St Georges horse, Demaskus (Beans) in '08. Fiona says, "My eventer is a thoroughbred who is progressing in his lateral work but we are learning together. I wanted to feel what half-pass was like on an established, uphill dressage horse, as well as changes!" There's lots in this video which will be of interest to riders who are working up to medium level with some real insights from Hannah and a few 'light-bulb' moments from Fiona!

  • With some trepidation after filming the fabulous Eccles sisters at the European Championships selection trials, Horse Hero's Fiona Price donned a track suit and borrowed Jo's magic white shoes to have a go herself! Her first reaction when she returned to earth was "this is not a sport for babies, it's a grown-up sport". Trembling like a leaf, Fiona found the experience totally exhilarating and utterly different to anything she had done before. In a moment of madness, she also wondered if there were any clubs for veterans!

  • Most riders probably can spot a good livery yard when they see one! But given we are handing over the care and well-being of our beloved horses to strangers, what are the signs to look for? Horse Hero visits Poplars Farm Stables in Gloucestershire for a tour of the yard and Fiona Price asks Stuart Adamson what he feels are the key ingredients for making happy horses and owners. From clean beds to daily turnout, lorry parking, feeding, training, rugging and advice, you'll be able to create a check list for the next time you move. This BHS approved yard is particularly lovely but remember, you and your horse deserve the best!

  • Fiona Price was taken with endurance after filming at the Golden Horseshoe Ride. So she borrowed GB team pony Tacq to have a go for herself in her debut event at Cirencester Park '09. In her previous video diary, she visited squad rider Chris Yeoman to meet Tacq and get the low-down on the sport. Fiona, an 'endurance virgin', has a ball at Cirencester and films her experience from an outsider's perspective. She learns a few shocking truths and marvels at what it takes to succeed in this gruelling sport. Now her interest is aroused, she's promised a sequel and a serious go at the sport once she's finished eventing! (Read her blog for more.)
